I Just Heard From God Today and He Said,
".....Men ought always to pray...." Luke 18:1
One of the most vital lessons Jesus taught His disciples was the importance of prayer!
When on the hillsides of Judea Jesus was consistently besieged by the multitudes. In one incident Jesus had been teaching them the ways of God. The day had completely escaped them, and the disciples informed Jesus that no food resources were available. Send them away they suggested!
Jesus had other plans telling them to look about for any food supplies. Finally, they located a youngster with five loaves and two fishes. He offered Jesus what he had, and Jesus prayed over it! The abundance resulting was such that there were twelve baskets left over!
Then we find him standing in the garden of His dearest friends. he has just been summoned by Mary and Martha. Their brother Lazarus had died ad been buried I the garden tomb!
It was a hopeless situation until Jesus came on the scene. In a short prayer He asks for a manifestation of God's power! Declaring Lazarus come forth; the dead was raised!
Throughout the ministry of Jesus his disciples gained access to prayer! We see them just gathering in the upper room praying until they are endued with the power from on high. Prayer deals with and provides strength. Let us pray without ceasing!
In Jesus;
